Photo filters are fantastic things aren't they? With just a swipe you can change your appearance from crumpled, bed-headed grinch to sexy kitten/ bear/ fox complete with waving tail, professional makeup, lashes - and, best of all, a good 10 years off your actual age. What's not to love? 

 

 

Well here at Secrets we constantly sift through applications from prospective escorts who attach filtered photos under the assumption that the veil of youth/ beauty and associated tails are what's going to get them through the door. Sadly that's not the case. Most agencies will automatically bin applications that come through with filtered photos attached. We're not that harsh - if we can see potential in the person underneath the filter then we'll get in touch to request more unfiltered photos - but, unless we get these, your application is going nowhere. 

 

 

Why don't we like photo filters? Don't get us wrong - filters are fun and cute when they're used in the right context, but when you're applying for work in an industry that's image and appearance focused, there's just no point in sending over filtered pics. The reasons why we love photo/ snapchat filters are exactly why we don't like them on applications - we know you don't look like that! We are fully aware of the existence of the Naomi filter - yes it's pretty and wow, don't you look incredible but... IT'S NOT YOU. And we know it. We know we can comfortably add several years to your apparent age, we know that your skin tone and eyelashes aren't that on point in real life, and we just aren't interested in kittens, bears and foxes because we're an escort agency, not a zoo. We need to see what you actually look like, and trust us when we say it's much nicer to get a polite 'no thank you' by email than that cringey feeling that comes from being turned away at the door when you arrive for interview looking nothing like the photos you've sent of yourself.  

 

We always want to hear from ladies aged 18+ who are interested in working as escorts, but please make sure your application photos are recent, clothed, clear and unfiltered. Even if you've got no makeup on and you think you look crap, we can still see the potential in a genuine photo - so, don't be shy - show us the real you!
